PE

Physical Education (PE) at our school plays a vital role in developing healthy, active lifestyles and fostering a lifelong love of movement. Through a broad, engaging, and inclusive curriculum, children build physical skills, confidence, teamwork, and resilience. PE lessons are designed to be fun, challenging, and accessible for all, helping every child to discover their strengths and strive for personal excellence—both on and off the field.

The delivery of our PE lessons are supported by Sports Coaches from Football and Fitness and we follow the curriculum map and delivery methods from the scheme Get Set 4 PE.

Swimming lessons happen from year 2 upwards and children do a block session of 8 lessons over a four week period during the summer term. We have an onsite pool during this time. We want all of our children to be able to swim 25m confidently, use a range of strokes effectively and perform a self-rescue by the time they leave Primary School in Year 6.

Our PE leader is Eliza Durkin.
