Design Technology aims to develop an understanding of technological processes, products and their manufacture, and how these contribute to the world around us. Our children work individually and collaboratively in a range of designing and making activities, initially developing ideas, then making products and eventually evaluating them. They learn how to acquire and apply knowledge and understanding of: materials and components, mechanisms and control systems, structures, existing products, quality and health & safety. Children at Stafford Leys have many
opportunities to develop and refine their practical skills associated with making products, including working with a range of materials and components, tools and processes.
