Meet Mrs Rowley EYFS Lead and Asistant Head Teacher

I was born in Leicestershire and live in a local village with my family and our cocker spaniel, Teddy.

I have taught across the primary age range, from EYFS to Year 6, but my true passion is Early Years and Key Stage 1. I want every child who joins Stafford Leys to feel that they belong and are excited to begin their wonderful journey through education.

I am committed to making sure that every child has the opportunity to learn, grow and succeed. I believe children learn best when they are happy, curious, active and engaged, and I am passionate about creating an environment where every child can thrive.

Meet Mrs Page – Class 1 – Jungle Room

Hello everyone, my name is Mrs Page.

I grew up in Cambridgeshire and trained to be a teacher by the sea in Devon. After beginning my teaching career in Peterborough, I moved to Leicestershire 19 years ago. Before starting my exciting journey at Stafford Leys two years ago, I taught in both Syston and Loughborough.

I have worked across Nursery and Key Stage 1; however, the majority of my career has been spent in the Early Years, where my true passion lies.

The Reception year is a truly magical time, when children begin to discover a love of learning, build their confidence and develop their independence. I feel incredibly privileged to be part of that special journey and to help give every child the best possible start to their education.

Meet Miss Barker – Class 2  –  Ocean Room

I grew up locally in Leicestershire and completed my teaching degree at the University of Derby. This is now my second year at Stafford Leys, and it has already become a very special place to me. I feel incredibly lucky to work within such a warm and welcoming school community.

Reception is my favourite stage to teach because it is such an exciting and important time in a child’s life. I love watching children settle into school, build new friendships and grow in confidence and independence as the year progresses.

I am passionate about creating a happy, engaging environment where children feel safe, valued and excited to learn. I cannot wait to get to know your child, discover their individual interests and share in all the wonderful achievements and special moments that their first year at school will bring!

Meet Mrs Peacock – Class 3 – Mini-beast Room

Hello, I am Mrs Peacock. I grew up in Derbyshire but moved to Leicester when I began my teaching career at Stafford Leys 25 years ago. During my time at the school, I have had the opportunity to teach children across all key stages and have enjoyed being part of so many children’s learning journeys.

I am delighted to be teaching the Minibeast Room this year and am really looking forward to getting to know all the children and their families. I love seeing children develop their confidence, independence and curiosity as they explore the world around them.

I am passionate about creating a happy and nurturing classroom where every child feels safe, valued and excited to learn. I am looking forward to all the fun, laughter and wonderful learning experiences we are going to share together throughout the year.
