History at Stafford Leys is delivered through a tailor-made curriculum that ensures historical learning is meaningful, relevant, curious. Our curriculum focuses on key areas of learning, including chronology, change and continuity, cause and consequence, significance, and interpretation.
We place strong emphasis on historical enquiry, encouraging children to ask questions, examine evidence, and develop their own understanding of the past. Throughout their learning journey, pupils build a rich vocabulary of key historical terms and concepts, which supports their ability to think critically and communicate effectively about history.
Our approach nurtures curious, thoughtful learners who appreciate the impact of history on the present and are equipped to understand the world around them.
